“My Story” – Canon EOS T1i / 500D / Kiss X3

with 25 comments

“My Story” – A short love story clip showing off the new Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1i (US) / Kiss X3 (Japan) Digital SLR camera. The film focuses on the romance between a man and woman from the point of their marital engagement to their first child from the perspective of a camera. This one actually made me think twice. At first viewing, I thought the “My Story” referred to the people. But really, the story is told from the perspective of the camera and how it has become part of every important event in the lives and romance of the couple. Nicely told, creatively shot. What is a good digital camera, that takes good pictures?

with one comment

My aunt has a Cannon PowerShot camera, and it’s like 7 megapixels, or at least I think it does, I may call her just to ask.

My question is, what is a good Cannon camera that takes great pictures, within a reasonable price range.

Does anyone know, what should I get?

Is it a good idea to buy a 6 MP used canon digital SLR camera?

with one comment

I am an amateur photographer and shoot only occasionally. I don’t want to invest too much money in a new digital SLR, so i thought a used Canon DSLR might be a good alternative. The problem is, that used cameras have much lower megapixels than new ones. Will I get reasonable quality with a 6 MP camera (low noise in night shots, enough details when printing 4"X6" 5"X7" photos)?

Nikon D3 D2x D40x D200 D300 Digital SLR Cameras video review

with one comment

Nikon D2xs Nikon D60 camera www.microglobe.co.uk Two and a half years ago Nikon publicized the 6 megapixel Nikon D70, their first reasonable enthusiasts digital SLR, it proved to be a very well-known camera and strong competitor to the Canon EOS 300D (Digital Rebel). Just 15 months later Nikon revealed the Nikon D70s which was basically the same camera with a some subtle tweaks (improved AF, wider flash coverage, higher capacity battery, larger LCD monitor). And so just over 15 months on from the D70s Nikon present the latest incarnation of their ‘enthusiasts’ digital SLR line, the 10.2 megapixel Nikon D80. The Nikon D80 slots nicely between the entry-level Nikon D50 and the semi-professional / professional Nikon D200, clearly based on the D70 design but also different enough to be seen as a completely new model. It features a ten megapixel DX format CCD (the same we presume as used by Sony in the DSLR-A100), the metering sensor from the D50 and numerous other items taken or modified from the D200. Nikon D2Hs and D2H are also wonderful cameras.
